Devils Make Final 4 For Ohio LB

The strong-side linebacker is heading out to Palo Alto for his fourth and final official visit. Where does his recruiting stand? Who are the four schools he's narrowed down too?

Luke Kuechly has never once hidden the fact that academics were the top priority when it came time for him to make a decision regarding his future. That's why it's no surprise that the four schools he's narrowed his list down to are amongst the most prestigious universities that the FBS level has to offer.

"It's going pretty well" Kuechly said of his recruiting process. "I pretty much got it narrowed down to four schools now - Boston College, Stanford, Virginia, and Duke."

With official visits already completed to Boston College, Virginia, and Duke, the only school left to receive a visit from the Buckeye State star is the Cardinal of Stanford. Kuechly, who had already visited Stanford unofficially over the summer, returns this weekend to Palo Alto.

"I went out there in the summer and the campus was just very beautiful. I'm looking for a feel on what the players are like and that kind of aspect. I mean, when I went out there in the summer it wasn't a good time to hang out with the players."

Though Stanford is up to bat last in the attempts to secure a signature from Kuechly, the other three finalists are certainly not out of it by any stretch of the imagination.

"I really enjoyed the academic aspects of all these schools. I enjoyed the communities that all these schools had, and the coaches are all great guys at these places. The comfort level around the school is one of the big things I have."

Fans of Kuechly's respective finalists shouldn't sit on the edge of their seats waiting for a decision the moment he gets home. Kuechly insists that there is absolutely no timeline for his decision.

"Not really, just whenever I feel the most comfortable."
