2010 OL Receives A Duke Offer

One of the top prospects for the 2010 signing class from Mississippi, Wes Rea, got on the board earlier today with his first written offer. The talented offensive lineman is receiving interest from around the south, so it is not surprise to see an ACC school tender a scholarship offer.

"I got home from baseball practice and I opened a letter from Duke," said Wes. "They said they had evaluated me and were offering me a scholarship."

The offer from the Blue Devils was welcome news to the two sport standout.

"It's a privilege to be offered that early by anybody," said Rea. "They had been sending me a lot of letter like everybody else, but I wasn't expecting an offer this early."

Based on the amount of interest the Harrison Central standout is receiving, Duke can expect plenty of competition.

"I am getting a lot of letters from everywhere mostly the SEC," said Wes. "Just based on what people tell me I should be getting some more offers."

The next step in the process for Rea is the selection process of his junior day invites.

"I am going to LSU's junior day. Coach Mullen (Mississippi State) is coming by our school sometime this week. I am sure I will get all of the information on theirs. I am probably going to Mississippi State's," said Rea. "I have had a lot of invites like from Florida State and some others. I am not going to be able to make a lot of trips due to baseball."
