Plumlee & Kelly Battle Once Again

While the Blue Devils were holding on for a victory in Virginia, two future Blue Devils matched up in the NCISAA State Tournament Finals. In the end if was Mason Plumlee's Christ School squad prevailing over Ryan Kelly's Ravenscroft team.

Plumlee scored a game high 19 points to help the Greenies earn their third consecutive state championship. Christ School jumped out early, scoring the game's first 10 points to lead 14-4 after the first quarter.

The second quarter saw the Ravens begin to rally led by Kelly who finished with a team high 14 points. The Duke bound combo forward would show-off his versatility to bring his team all the way back - hitting a three pointer, then converting in the paint, before knocking home two free throws to give Ravenscroft its only lead of the game at 29-28 with 3:03 remaining in the third quarter.

From there, however, the Greenies' depth would be too much for the Raleigh based school as Plumlee and his teammates used a 10-3 spurt to take a four point lead into the final quarter and into the final buzzer.

Both Kelly and Plumlee will participate in the McDonald's All-American game this year. Both were named to the NCISAA 3-A All-State team as well.
