Garden State TE/DE Will Visit Duke

Jarrett Darmstatter is being recruited both at defensive end and tight end, however the New Jersey product admits that he would rather play on the offensive side of the ball, however it won't be a deciding factor in his decision. He currently holds three offers and will start visiting schools soon.

Barnegat High School tight end Jarrett Darmstatter holds offers from East Carolina, Iowa and Rutgers and the 6-foot-4, 240-pound athlete is about to start off his spring making a few visits in the Mid-Atlantic.

"Rutgers is the one school I have an offer from that I'm pretty familiar with," Darmstatter explained. "The stadium and facilities are really nice and I like the coaching staff a lot. The thing I think I like most about them is that they're really tough on the field, but when practice is over they're down to earth people that you can talk to."

"When spring break hits I'm going to be taking four visits," Darmstatter stated. "I'm going down to see East Carolina, Duke, North Carolina and North Carolina State all at once."

Darmstatter caught 20 passes for 260 yards and three touchdowns as a junior. On defense, he made 75 tackles, sacked the quarterback three times and forced two fumbles.
