Speedy WR Has Duke's Attention

Blake Barker is the big-name recruit from Buckingham Browne Nichols School, however schools stopping by to check him out better take a serious look at speedy wide out Jimmy McCaffrey while they're on campus

Jimmy McCaffrey, a 5-foot-11, 190-pound wide receiver with 4.41 speed is holding an offer from Stanford University and has also been hearing from a group of other programs as they've come through his school recently.

"A bunch of schools have come by to see me and Blake over the past month, so it's been pretty busy," McCaffrey said. "The schools that spent a lot of time talking to me personally were Duke, Boston College, Syracuse, Connecticut and Purdue. My coach told me they're all very interested and I think Northwestern is really interested too as they talk to me and invited me out to camp."

"I haven't narrowed anything down yet obviously, so I'm just concentrating on trying to build up my offer base this summer," McCaffrey explained. "I think after camps I'll have a better idea of who I like the most as I'll have more offers in hand and will have visited some more places."

McCaffrey does have one offer from Stanford and updated that situation.

"Stanford came out to visit Blake and me a couple of Fridays ago and we had a really long talk with them," McCaffrey stated. "They're definitely up there right now because I have a great relationship with Coach Ron Lynn and they have excellent academics and football."

McCaffrey is currently playing lacrosse with teammate Blake Barker
