Devils Have Offered 3-Star DL

Defensive tackles appear to come at a premium these days. Oak Grove drain plug Vince Taylor has the offer list to prove that he is a prospect in demand by some of the south's top programs.

"I have offers from Vanderbilt, Duke, Mississippi State, South Alabama, Tennessee, Southern Miss, Tulsa and a couple of more," said Vince Taylor. "I think LSU, Alabama and Florida State are going to offer. They all came to see me in the spring and they all telling me they like what they saw, so I think they are going to offer me."

Over the course of the next few weeks, Vince will take in camping trips to a pair of SEC Western division schools.

"I am going to Mississippi State on Thursday with Jay (Hughes) and then I am going to LSU in July," said Vince. "I am going for their elite camp. I went to Southern Miss for their elite camp and I feel like I stuck out."

When decision time comes, Taylor hopes to find a coaching staff that makes him feel like an important part of their signing class.

"I want to find a good coaching staff," said Vince. "I want to play for a staff that cares for their players and they have some experience at getting players to the NFL. Those are going to be the main things."

So far the pine belt product has not learned enough about the coaches recruiting him to place one school ahead of the others.

"I am open right now," said Vince. "I am probably going to do it before the first game. I don't want it to be a distraction this season, but I am still open. I want to see what everybody has to offer."
