Wallace, who measures out at 6-foot-3 and 210 pounds claimed an additional offer from Louisville, Virginia, and East Carolina. Along with the quartet of offers, he had strong interest from school such as West Virginia, Maryland, Kentucky, North Carolina, and others. In the end, however, it was his relationship with the Blue Devil coaching staff that put the Durham program over the top.
"Coach Hobby and Coach Cutcliffe are great. I feel really comfortable with them and believe they are taking the program in the right direction. And they have both coached at the top levels. When I called to talk to them they were both really excited about [the commitment]."
As the 11th commitment from the class of 2010 for Duke, Wallace projects as either an outside linebacker or defensive end. At the Scout.com combine he certainly seemed to have the frame to morph into either position - measuring out at 6-foot-3, and 207 pounds while running a 4.68 shuttle drill. He claims a personal best forty time of just over 4.6 seconds as well.
