Irving: "I'll Definitely Visit Duke"

Fresh off a strong performance at the Global Challenge, point guard Kyrie Irving tells Scout.com that he's got a pair of schools that can count on official visits.

We watched as two schools seemed to stalk Kyrie Irving a good portion of the summer. It should come as no great surprise that they'll be rewarded for their efforts.

"I'm definitely going to take a visit to Indiana and Duke," Irving told Scout.com. The St. Patrick standout point guard, a Top 10 talent, was watching during the summer and noticed how prevalent schools were at his games.

"Definitely with the coaches and Duke and Indiana they were in full force at all my games," Irving said. "That's why they're in the top. The other programs didn't have the luxury of doing that. It's impacted those two, Duke and Indiana."

Virginia, Texas A&M, Seton Hall, Kentucky, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame and Connecticut are the other schools that remain on the list.

Right now, from the sound of it, the Hoosiers and Blue Devils would be teams to reckon with.

"I have great relationships with the coaching staffs. I was going to announce it soon anyway but those are the two that I have the relationships with. Everything about the programs I enjoy. I want to keep them in the Top 5 and give them an official visit."

The dates of his visits have yet to be determined.
