After averaging 12.6 points and just over nine rebounds a game at Menomonee Falls (Wisc.) High during his freshman season, Tokoto hit the travel circuit and proved himself as one of the elite wings in the 2012 class.
"I went to a lot of national level tournaments this year," Tokoto told Scout.com. "That was nice. I got some recognition and that was good, and I'm still going to some camps."
At the Kentucky Hoopfest in mid-July, Tokoto was especially impressive. Blessed with good size and athleticism, Tokoto attacked the rim and showed off an impressive offensive package.
"I think I kind of stood out among my peers," the 6-foot-5, possibly 6-6, 185-pound wing said.
There's no question he stood out among his peers, and college coaches certainly noticed. Among the schools that have already offered scholarships are Marquette, Wisconsin, Iowa, Kansas, Tennessee, Minnesota and Indiana.
"It's great," the 2012 standout said. "I love it. I'm going to keep my options right now. I'm not really looking closely at schools. I'm just honored to be recruited by any school."
Tokoto has already participated in a pair of elite camps -- Kansas and Wisconsin -- and he's in the process of setting up a few other trips.
"I'm getting ready to take some visits," Tokoto said. "I'm going to down to Duke and Carolina."
The plan is for Tokoto to visit North Carolina on August 21st. Then he'll slide over to Duke for their elite camp on August 22nd and 23rd. Following that trip, Tokoto will visit Marquette for their elite camp as well.
Despite all the visits, Tokoto made it clear that he's still in the beginning stages of his recruitment.
