Top 2012 Prospect Has Duke Offer

Shortly after participating in Duke's elite camp this past weekend, J.P. Tokoto, a talented 2012 prospect, scored a scholarship offer from the Blue Devils.

Tokoto's father, Trevor Trimble, confirmed the news with Scout.com.

"I just got off the phone with coach K," Trimble said. "He offered him. It was a great conversation."

"The trip went great," he added. "We all went and it was an honor. Coach K said us as a family would be a perfect fit for Duke. He thought JP's character and charisma and obviously his game were a perfect fit."

To go with his offer from Duke, Tokoto, a standout at Menomonee Falls (Wisc.) High, also has offers from Marquette, Wisconsin, Iowa, Kansas, Tennessee, Minnesota and Indiana.

After averaging 12.6 points and just over nine rebounds a game at Menomonee Falls (Wisc.) High during his freshman season, the 6'5 Tokoto hit the travel circuit and proved himself as one of the elite wings in the 2012 class.
