Blue Devils Offer Junior OL

One of the top overall prospects from Ohio in the Class of 2011 will be Donavon Clark. On Monday afternoon the high major OL prospect got his first scholarship offer courtesy of the Duke coaching staff.

At 6-foot-4, 285-pounds, Donavon Clark has the build college coaches love to look at. With the ability to lineup on either side of the ball makes Clark a must have prospect who will have lots of offers in the coming months. On Monday he picked up offer #1. According to Donavon's father Phil, his son has now been offered by Duke.

Clark has interest in several programs and will be heading to hometown Cincinnati's game against Illinois this Friday and then go to Pittsburgh for an unofficial visit when the Panthers take on the Bearcats for the Big East Championship.

On film Clark (#70) takes a lot of snaps on the defensive side of the ball making plays clogging the middle. He also shows the ability to rundown a play to make a tackle and in the right system could be used at the nose.

As an offensive lineman Clark shows early signs of having the feet you'll look for in a top guard prospect. While any height growth could see a move to tackle at this time early projections have Clark playing inside with his frame and physical stature.

Scout.com will continue to follow the recruiting process of Donavon Clark in the coming weeks and months.
