Three Star WR Gets A Duke Offer

'Shaq' Washington got some news this week, after returning home from the Michigan Football Showcase. Once news of his great performance got out, the offers came pouring in, and Washington added five new ones. Which schools jumped into the fray with offers?

Shaquille Washington, known as 'Shaq', had an impressive performance last weekend at the Michigan Football Showcase, being named one of the top performers.

Once the word got out about his showing, the offers came back at him, and the Maple Heights (OH) athlete added five new ones in a few days.

"I wanted you to know I was offered by Air Force, Duke, Illinois, Iowa State and Kent State this week," Washington reported. "I think they all heard I did pretty well up in Michigan, and decided to offer. I hope that was the reason, because I loved that camp."

"I'm also hearing from Oregon, North Carolina and West Virginia," he continued. "They're all three contacting me a lot, and I think they could be next."

Washington, who plays quarterback for his high school team, worked out as a slot receiver in Michigan, and also at the National Junior Combine in San Antonio. He was named to the All-Combine first team in San Antonio.

Although small in size, 5-foot-9, 160-pounds, Washington has blinding speed, and is nearly impossible to cover in space.
