Devils Have Offered CA RB

Norco (Calif.) running back Kelsey Young has three offers in as his film makes the rounds...

Norco (Calif.) running back Kelsey Young, the next in line for the vaunted running game at Norco, wasn't even the primary back for the Cougars in 2009.

But with over 1,700 yards as the Cougars' #2-back, Young has turned those into three official offers.

"Kelsey has offers from Duke, Arizona and Arizona State," said head coach Todd Gerhart. "Those are the ones we have (officially)."

Gerhart has seen some stellar backs in his time at Norco, with Deantre Lewis a four-star back in last class, who signed with Arizona State, and going back to Gerhart's son, Toby, who was the Heisman Trophy runner-up.

And Gerhart says that Young is in the same tier with Lewis and Toby.

Young ran for 1,767 and scored 14 touchdowns in helping the Cougars to the CIF-SS Inland Division finals.
