Duke is Florida OL's First BCS Offer

Garrett Clark is one of the top interior offensive line prospects in the entire state of Florida this year and the Daytona Beach Mainland standout just picked up his first BCS offer. Read on for the latest.

"Duke offered me on Friday," Garrett Clark said. "From what I've seen and what they told me, I'll have a good chance to come in and play early. They're a program on the rise and they're a very good school academically so I'm definitely considering it." Clark, 6-foot-4 and 280 pounds, is also getting strong interest from several other major college programs.

"Clemson, Florida State, and Purdue are recruiting me a lot," he said. "Marlin (Lane) was up there and said how much they liked me and once they see me in the spring they should be offering me. Florida State said if any scholarships open up, I'll have one. They only have 16 to give this year but they like me a lot. Purdue just picked up four of my teammates and they like me a lot. They'll be down here in the spring."

The standout lineman plans on attending the NIKE Camp in Gainesville next weekend. Inside the classroom Clark has a 3.63 GPA and a 940 SAT score.

As a junior, Clark earned Honorable Mention All-State in Class 6A. Second Team All Central Florida by Orlando Sentinel.
