Recruiting Board: Centers

TDD's recruiting board tracks the prospects and offers at the Center position for Duke in '11

Current Center Depth
Bryan Morgan, 6-3/270 - Senior

Class Strategy
The offensive line in general is going to see a high number of players pursued and landed. At the center position Duke will lose its lone designated snapper in Bryan Morgan. Obviously there are other interior linemen who will fill the need next year such, but the Duke coaching staff is looking to bring in at least one true center prospect in the class.

Confirmed Center Offers
Mack Crowder | Bristol (TN) Tennessee
Ht/Wt: 6-4/270 | | | Pos: C | Pos Rank: 9
Duke Interest: Medium
Duke Trips: Visited In January
Recruiting: Has seven verifiable offers and will likely pick up a few more as he takes visits. Says he is looking for the right mix of academics and good football. Spoke highly of Coach Cutcliffe and the Duke direction and mission. Will need to visit campus again this summer though. (4/21/10)
Scouting Report: "I haven't ever given up a sack in high school, which is good. I think my strengths as a player are my ability to fire off the ball and staying low and then finishing my blocks. I like to get down field and if I can pancake someone, I want to be able to get up and get to the next line. I would like to get a little faster so that I can get to the linebackers, though."
