Three Star OL Talks Recruiting

Cody Robinson, three-star offensive guard from McMinnville-Warren County, Tenn., has visited and camped at several schools this summmer. Four schools are really in pursuit of his signature.

"I have been to summer camps at Kentucky, Tennessee, Middle Tennessee and Vanderbilt," said Cody Robinson. "I have visited Syracuse. I also went to Ole Miss. I went to Syracuse June 27 for a visit. That was my last trip. I plan to trip to Memphis, and that's about it."

Robinson doesn't list any favorites, but reports Duke, Syracuse, Kentucky and Vanderbilt are recruiting him the hardest. These four schools are likely to receive official visits, and the last school has not been decided.

Duke: "Duke is a great place. You can get a good degree from there. They are definitely on the rise. They have a lot of great people there."

Syracuse: "The first thing about Syracuse is they have two offensive line coaches there. The head coach [Doug Marrone] was a head coach for a long time. Coach Adkins has shown he is one of the best offensive line coaches in the country."

Kentucky: "Kentucky is a great place. I have a lot of respect for their coaching staff. The location is really good. It's a very nice city, and I really like the coaches."

Vanderbilt: "Vanderbilt is close to home. It's about an hour and a half from my house. You can get a great degree from there. I think Coach Johnson is a great guy."

A time-frame for a decision is not yet determined.

"I don't know if I will take all my visits," Robinson said. "I could decide tomorrow or it could be in two months. If I decide 100-percent sure I will go ahead and commit.

"The biggest thing to me is the people, the quaility of coaches and players on the team. I want to be around great people. Education is also a big thing. I want to go somewhere I can succeed and have the best career."
