At 6-foot-8 and nearly 260 pounds, that's one big defensive end. However, the big Virginian showed his stuff at the annual Duke summer camp and it was enough to convince the coaches of his potential on the outside of the defensive line.
Marshall becomes the 18th member of the class of 2010 - one in which the Blue Devils are expected to take the maximum allowable under NCAA rules.
He chose Duke over Virginia, Western Michigan, North Carolina State, Marshall, Louisville and East Carolina. All had offered scholarships though all but Duke and Western Michigan had projected him to play along the offensive line.
