Tenn. WR calls it for Duke

After suffering the loss of one commitment, the Blue Devil staff wasted little time in rebounding with the pledge from a physical Tennessee prospect.

"Duke offered me this week and I decided to commit," said Nashville (Tenn.) Pearl-Cohn wide receiver Nick Hill. "I felt comfortable with the coaching staff because they provided a really welcoming feel to everything. Plus, with Duke it's the best of both worlds when you think about athletics and academics."

The Blue Devils had been recruiting Hill for a while as had a number of schools such as Vanderbilt, East Carolina, Memphis, and Louisville. Each of those programs had apparently been waiting on senior highlight film, but when Duke pulled the trigger on the offer it was enough.

"I camped up there and had told them that if an offer was made I was probably going t commit. They were so honest and open with me that I wanted to be the same with them. When they offered I wanted to do my part as well."

Hill, who measures out at nearly 6'3 and 190 pounds says he's looking forward to getting to camp next summer and competing. He expects, however, to redshirt.
