Duquesne wouldn't have had the opportunity for the overtime win if it hadn't been for a Youngstown State miscue with just over 2:30 gone in the game. YSU knotted the score at 1-1 on Brittny Humphrey's score, 32:25 on the first half clock.

Kelly Shank's goal at 90:34, the first attempt in extra time, gave the Red and Blue (1-1-2) the sudden victory NCAA result (as opposed to the NFL's sudden death).
Duquesne outshot Youngstown State, 25-15, led by Annie Reid's six shots, a pair were headed toward the goal line. A trio of Pens had three shots apiece.
Duquesne's Gabby Morrin had six saves while the Penguins' Mariah Snyder stopped nine shots headed to the net.
The Penguins are now 0-4-0.
Duquesne next heads to Moon Township for a Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008, 1:00 p.m. match at cross-town rival Robert Morris (2-2).
