Three Dukes Honored by A-10

Philadelphia, Pa.- The Atlantic 10 Conference has named Josh Eddy Men's Cross Country Performer of the Week, Hannah Ringo as Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week and Tricia Mullen as the league's Volleyball Rookie of the Week.

Josh Eddy placed third in the field of 267 runners with a time of 25:00 helping Duquesne to a first place finish in a 33-team field at the National Catholic Championships at the University of Notre Dame.

Hannah Ringo finished 14th in a field of 287 runners at the National Catholic Championships with a career best time of 18:34. Overall the team placed 5th of 35 teams in the championship.

Ringo's previous honor was also on September 2, 2008.

Tricia Mullen recorded 25 kills and 31 digs at the three-match Kent State Mizuno Open this past weekend. She had a career-best 13 kills in a 3-game match in DU's 3-0 victory over Chicago State.

Eddy, Ring and Mullen are receiving their second Atlantic 10 honor of the season. The trio received number one in 2008 on September 2, 2008.

DU volleyball begins their A-10 slate Friday, September 26, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. against George Washington. The cross country teams' next race will be the Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh on October 3rd.
