Dukes Beat Robert Morris, 1-0, in Overtime

Duquesne's men's soccer team got back on the winning track Friday via 1-0 overtime victory on Rooney Field behind Chris Torres goalkeeping and Ben Horner's second game-winner of the season.

Duquesne's offense was again in gear, getting off 19 shots to 10 from Robert Morris.

Sophomore Chris Torres, who entered tonight's game leading the Atlantic 10 Conference with a 0.52 goals against average, stopped all five of the Colonials shots on goal. His GAA is now 0.46.

Colonials Matt Felice recorded six saves in regulation but was unable to stop Ben Horner's shot 1:41 into the overtime period. Sophomore Stefan Lundberg and freshman Dave Cassanelli assisted on the score.

Duquesne, seventh in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Mid-Atlantic region poll, is now 4-1-3. Robert Morris is now 1-6-1.

The Dukes travel to Buffalo where they will take on Bulls (7-2-1) Sunday, September 28, 2008, at 3:00 p.m. at the Demske Athletic Complex.
