Dee Dee Jernigan (11 points, 15 rebounds) and April Phillips (10 points, 10 rebounds) recorded double-doubles for XU who improved to 14-4, 2-0.
The Dukes started out the game by taking a 12-6 lead. The Musketeers countered with a 12-0 run over the next four minutes to take an 18-12 advantage with 12:05 remaining in the half. DU would not recover Little scored the last 11 points of the half for DU who took a 38-23 deficit into halftime.
Duquesne opened the second half with a 9-2 run, trimming the Xavier lead to 43-32 after a Keri Pryor 3-pointer. But the Dukes would not score for almost five minutes as the Musketeer lead was 22 points at the 12:13 mark.
XU would take a 39 point advantage with 1:36 left in the game.
Xavier dominated on the boards outrebounding Duquesne 32-11 in the first half and 60-23 for the game. In addition to Jernigan and Philips, Special Jennings recorded double-figures with 13 rebounds.
In addition to the boards, the Musketeers commanded the paint outscoring the Dukes 42-12. The Xavier bench outscored the Duquesne bench 38-2.
DU struggled from the from floor, resulting in a season-low 2564 percent (16-of-64) shots. They converted 15.4 percent (4-of-26) from beyond the arc.
Sunday afternoon, the Dukes return to Palumbo Center to host Temple. Tipoff is set for 2:00 p.m.
