The Duquesne women's basketball team will host Atlantic 10 rival Temple Sunday afternoon at the Palumbo Center. Tipoff is at 2:00 p.m.

DUQUESNE AND TEMPLE ALL-TIME

Sunday marks the 38th all-time meeting between the Dukes and Owls. The schools first met Jan. 5, 1984 at the Civic Arena. The teams also squared off four times in the Atlantic 10 Championship, with the Owls winning three times. The Owls have won the past 10 meetings.

DUQUESNE LATELY

Coming off a 37-point loss at #24 Xavier in the 2009 Atlantic 10 season opener. Kristi Little had a game-high 21 points.

TEMPLE LATELY

Winners of their first two A-10 games. Defeated Saint Joseph's 58-53 and Rhode Island 95-48.

KEEP IT ON THE DOWN LOWE

On Dec. 20th, Little was named as a finalist for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award. The award – presented annually to an NCAA Division I student athlete in nine sports. Based on criteria focusing on the "Four C's" of classroom, character, community and competition, the award winners will be selected by national balloting of head basketball coaches, national media and college basketball fans.

CENTURY CLUB

Little and Rachel Frederick look to become members of Duquesne's 1,000 point club. Little entered the season with 777 points and has scored 220 points so far in 2008-09. She needs 3 points for 1,000. Frederick started this season with 806 points and has scored 165 points so far in 2008-09. She needs 29 points for 1,000.

LOOKING AHEAD

Duquesne will take to the road for a pair of games – Jan. 21 at Dayton and George Washington Jan. 24 before returning home Jan. 28 against St. Bonaventure.
