Mizzell is one of the top running backs in the country. He is one of the most versatile backs in the 2013 class. His quickness and vision are some of the best you will see from a high school running back. The 5-foot-10, 185-pound Mizzell runs well between the tackles and on the perimeter. Although he is not the biggest running back, Mizzell shows good power and runs extremely hard. Scout's No. 28 running back nationally also has tremendous ball skills and catches the ball well out of the backfield. He will also likely get a chance to help the Cavaliers on special teams as a return man. Mizzell will be an impact player from the day he steps on campus in Charlottesville. Ultimately, I expect him to become one of the best players in the ACC.
Mizzell Headed to the ACC
The Virginia Cavaliers secured a huge commitment on Tuesday afternoon. Four-star Bayside High Virginia Beach (Va.) running back Taquan Mizzell will stay home to play college football. After receiving close to 20 scholarship offers, Mizzell narrowed his list to three schools – North Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia. In the end, he did what most expected and committed to Coach Mike London's program.
