ECU baseball (11-8) notched two wins over the Jacksonville Dolphins in Florida this weekend.

The Pirates continued their weekend dominance by winning their fourth weekend series, this time against the Jacksonville University Dolphins. ECU (11-8) opened the series with a loss before posting two straight victories to return to Greenville with the series.

In the Sunday meeting, the Pirates secured a 6-4 victory after leading the entire game. ECU raced out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning, highlighted by Drew Reynolds' sac fly with bases loaded that scored Jay Cannon and Garrett Brooks.

Jacksonville answered with a solo home run by Kris Molter and managed to pull within one, 5-4, in the seventh inning following a Luke Lowery home run in the fourth for the Pirates. But ECU responded with an RBI single from Travis Watkins to push the Pirates up by two and end the scoring for the day.

David Lucroy (3-1) got the win for ECU by allowing three runs on seven hits with seven strikeouts in six full innings. Lucroy leads the team with 31 strikeouts on the year. Reynolds came in for relief, pitching a scoreless 1.1 innings to record his team-high sixth save of the season.

ECU evened the series at 1-1 with a 16-9 victory over the Dolphins on Saturday. The Pirates, led by Jack Reinhemer's five hits, scored seven runs in the sixth inning to race out to a comfortable 14-5 lead.

The seven-run inning was highlighted by Dylan Brown's two-run home run, the first of his collegiate career.

Jacksonville scored two runs in the seventh to mount a small comeback at 14-8, but ECU responded with two runs of its own in the eighth (a RBI double by Bryan Bass and a RBI single by Reinheimer) to maintain its large lead and cap the team's scoring at sixteen. The Dolphins scored one run, a RBI double by Braddock Rowe, in the bottom of the eighth to reach the game's final score.

Reinheimer's five hits tied a career high as a part of a 21-hit performance by the Pirates. Jay Cannon, Zach Houchins and Luke Lowery each had three hits on the night.

Ryan Williams (4-0) was credited with the win after allowing six runs on 13 hits with five strikeouts in six innings of work.

The Pirates started the weekend by losing a 3-2 decision to Jacksonville to open the series.

With the bases loaded in the seventh inning, the Dolphins' Nathan Koslowski hit an RBI double to break a 1-1 tie and take a 3-1 lead. Reinheimer hit an RBI single in the eighth inning, scoring Garrett Brooks, but the Pirates couldn't find another run to seize control of the game.
