It's safe to say college coaches have taken notice.
"My main offers right now are Duke, N.C. State and ECU," said the 6-foot, 180 pound Hinton. "The most contact has been from N.C. State though."
Appalachian State has also extended an offer to Hinton.
While N.C. State has been in contact most, Hinton has yet to pick a favorite school. He mentioned he is in a standstill with recruitment and all schools are even.
With that being said, Hinton did take a visit to ECU for Junior Day on March 1 that had the Pirates at the top for a short period of time.
"It was a great visit (to ECU)," said Hinton. "I really enjoyed talking to the coaches and going over film with them."
As far as future visits go, Hinton will likely attend summer camps at ECU, Duke and N.C. State. He would also like to make at least one out-of-state visit.
The strength of Hinton's game is his versatility. He's primarily a pocket passer, but has the ability to extend plays with his legs.
Hinton is likely ECU's top quarterback target at the moment for the 2015 class. Offensive Coordinator Lincoln Riley will likely keep his recruitment going strong.
