It has been a successful spring filled with offers for Kirk Livingstone. Since Feb. 2014 the talented defensive lineman has added ten offers.
Western Michigan started things off when it an extended an offer to Livingstone, but this spring he is seeing bigger schools pay him attention. His most recent offer came from Louisville last week. Prior to that Livingston held offers from UAB, Liberty, ECU, Utah, Vanderbilt, Indiana, South Florida and Florida International.
Livingstone's ECU offer came in April and offensive line coach Brandon Jones has been trying to host him for a visit ever since.
"ECU is a school I'm really paying attention to," said the 6-foot-4, 235-pound Livingstone. "I'm looking for a school with a good medical program because that's what I want to study. Coach Jones wants me up there for a visit this summer to meet players and to check out the nursing program."
Livingstone mentioned he has heard most from Louisville, USF and ECU lately. Two in-state schools also reached out to Livingstone in Florida State and Miami. He said the relationship with ECU has been great and that he speaks with coach Jones weekly.
The combination of size and speed Livingston has is impressive; it allows him to be versatile on the field.
"Some schools want me to play outside linebacker," said Livingstone. "I would have to practice coverage and dropping back, but it will be an easy transition. I'm traditionally a down lineman pass-rusher, I focus on stopping the run as well."
The summer and fall will be a busy time for Livingston as he tries to narrow down his decision and pick a school. He mentioned he will be using some official visits in the fall if he misses out on seeing a school this summer.
Next week Livingstone will plan all of his visits.
