Pirates Pickup Three-Star WR

2015 Lake Nona (Orlando, Fla.) three-star wide receiver Deondre Farrier verbally committed to East Carolina Tuesday. Inside ECU Sports has a look at what he brings to the table.

ECU picked up an impressive wide receiver commit for its 2015 class.

Deondre Farrier verbally pledged to the Pirates on Tuesday afternoon after being committed to South Florida and Florida at different times during his recruitment.

Ranked a three-star wide receiver at Lake Nona, the 6-foot, 175-pound Farrier turned heads this season. Through 11 games he had 116 catches for 1850 yards, an average of 168.2 a game, and 22 touchdowns.

Offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley is out doing in-home visits this week along with other coaches. When Riley posted "Yes sir!!" on Twitter tuesday afternoon it may be safe to speculate he was referring to landing Farrier. He brings home run capability with a sub 4.5 second 40-yard dash time.
