JUCO (Hutchinson C.C) inside linebacker Darius Wright committed to East Carolina Sunday during the last official visit weekend for the 2015 class.

ECU added another recruit to its 2015 class over the weekend in Hutchinson inside linebacker Darius Wright.

The talented linebacker recently turned down offers from schools Arkansas, Nebraska and Kansas State because they joined his recruitment too late. Appalachian State and Arkansas State were the two schools Wright chose the Pirates over and starting linebacker Zeek Bigger showed him around during his visit to ECU.

Wright is 6-foot, 230-pounds and could make an immediate impact on defense, coming from Hutchinson he should have the football IQ to do so as well. With the loss of senior linebacker Brandon Williams, he may be asked to contribute sooner rather than later.

The Pirates now have 13 commits for the 2015 class, all of which will hopefully sign national letters of intent on Wednesday.

IES will be in contact with Wright for an inside look at his commitment. Please check back for updates.
