Ravens ink Worthy to three-year deal

GREENVILLE, N.C. — Former ECU receiver Cam Worthy signed a three-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens according to the Baltimore Sun.

Cam Worthy will be donning purple yet again, this time on Sundays as the Baltimore Ravens signed the receiver to a three-year deal on Tuesday, according to reports.

The Baltimore Sun reported that Worthy’s deal comes with a $2,500 signing bonus.

Worthy finished third on the team a season ago with 55 receptions and second with 1,016 yards, averaging 92.4 receiving yards per game, despite missing two games with a suspension. He also capped his senior season with four touchdowns and proved to be a valuable deep-ball threat.

In his final collegiate game, a loss to Florida in the Birmingham Bowl, Worthy pulled in eight catches for 130 yards and a touchdown.

A junior college transfer in 2012, the 6-foot-3 receiver worked his way up from walk-on status to the Pirates’ number one outside receiving threat as a senior a season ago.

Worthy mainly saw time as a reserve and special teams player as a junior, after redshirting during his initial season. In that season, he hauled in 19 catches for 295 yards.
