Ravens ink Worthy to three-year deal
Cam Worthy will be donning purple yet again, this time on Sundays as the Baltimore Ravens signed the receiver to a three-year deal on Tuesday, according to reports. The Baltimore Sun reported that Worthy’s deal comes with a $2,500 signing bonus. Worthy finished third on the team a season ago with 55 receptions and second with 1,016 yards, averaging 92.4 receiving yards per game, despite missing two games with a suspension. He also capped his senior season with four touchdowns and proved to be a valuable deep-ball threat. In his final collegiate game, a loss to Florida in the Birmingham Bowl, Worthy pulled in eight catches for 130 yards and a touchdown. A junior college transfer in 2012, the 6-foot-3 receiver worked his way up from walk-on status to the Pirates’ number one outside receiving threat as a senior a season ago. Worthy mainly saw time as a reserve and special teams player as a junior, after redshirting during his initial season. In that season, he hauled in 19 catches for 295 yards.
