AAC Announces 2016 Basketball Opponents
The Pirates' second season in The American features an exciting docket of home games, including four teams that participated in postseason play this past year: Cincinnati, SMU, Temple and Tulsa. The Pirates will play a home-and-home series against the aforementioned foursome as well as UCF, Memphis, USF and Tulane. East Carolina will host Houston in its lone meeting of the year with the the Cougars, while it will travel to UConn for its only game of the season against the Huskies. The 2016 championship will be played March 10-13, 2016 (Thursday to Sunday) at Amway Center in Orlando, as previously announced. ECU returns four of its top five scorers, including three starters, from last season's team that finished tied for seventh in its inaugural season in The American Below is East Carolina's American home and away opponents for the 2015-16 season. Dates and times for the games will be announced at a later date. Home: UCF, Cincinnati, Houston, Memphis, USF, SMU, Temple, Tulane, Tulsa.
