UConn lost to USF, 28-20 (AAC)Tulsa lost to ECU, 30-17 (AAC) UCF lost to Temple, 30-16 (AAC) BEST WIN It doesn’t get much better for the American than having one of its top-ranked schools take down an SEC top-ranked school. That’s just what No. 18 Memphis did to then-No. 13 Ole Miss on Saturday, beating the Rebels in convincing fashion. The 37-24 victory marked the seventh win over a Power Five opponent for the AAC this season. The win also put Memphis and head coach Justin Fuente on the map. The American is indeed rising, and the win over Ole Miss is the conference’s biggest to date. Three teams cracked into the top-25 this week, another reminder of just how quickly the conference is growing.
