East Carolina is Jaelen Greene's No. 1 school

Following his junior day visit, RB Jaelen Greene Spoke with InsideECUSports, and shared his thoughts on Pirate football

Tyrone (G.A.) Sandy Creek running back Jaelen Greene, has been a highly sough-after target for the East Carolina 2017 recruiting class. 

The 5-foot-8 207-pound running back has recently visited East Carolina for the school's junior day on April 9th, and received a one-on-one tour from new head coach Scottie Montgomery.

""I went to their junior day on April 9th and coach Mo took me on a one-on-one tour," said Greene. "I felt the love."

Apart from feeling the love, Greene also expressed his excitement in regards to Montgomery's run-first mentality. 

"He likes to run the ball 30 times a game," said Greene. "I felt great about it. I like that he loves to run the ball."

Apart from meeting the coaches, Greenespent time with some of the players at a scrimmage.

"I watched the scrimmage and I got to hang out with the guys," Greene said. "They asked me how I liked the school, and that they think I can fit in, and dominate the offense."

From his visit, Greene identified a couple things that really excite him.

"I loved the visit," said Greene. "They have a great stadium and I love all the coaches. ECU is my No. 1 choice right now, ahead of Cincinnati and Tulane."

Greene also likes the support the Pirates receive from the community. 

"The whole community is filled with the pirate logo," Greene said. "All of the gas stations and stores."
