Although Spruill has yet to visit the campus or facilities, he is looking forward to visiting soon and meeting the players and coaches to get a better grasp of what the program is about.
"I'm looking forward to meeting the coaching staff and seeing the energy they bring," Spruill said. "I'm also looking forward to meeting the players and seeing how they feel about the school and playing football at ECU."
Since he has yet to visit, Spruill is unfamiliar with the coaching staff, however, he noted they are doing positive things for the program.
"I don't really know them that well," said Spruill. "I can tell you they have good backgrounds, and I like the direction they are going with the program."
Spruill also specifically commented on new head coach Scotty Montgomery.
"I've seen his former coaching jobs,"said Spruill. "I feel as though he has been in some good, winning programs."
Regardless of the school he chooses to attend, Spruill said that when he transitions from high school to college, he wants to be a humble and dedicated person on and off the field
"I want to be someone that is humble, hard working and coachable," said Spruill. "As a player, I want to be a strong, downhill, and physical runner who makes good reads and cuts. I want to be a patient, but decisive runner, and make big plays for the team."
