Myles Wright says that ECU is among top choices

Myles Wright, who is one of Baltimore's top tight ends, has expressed that he heavily favors ECU over several other schools.

Myles Wright received his 16th offer on June 5 and it came from East Carolina.

The 6-foot-2 210 pound tight end commented that ECU is one of his top choices in a pool that includes Notre Dame, NC State, Duke, and North Carolina.

Wright's feelings towards ECU came about when he was only a freshman in high school on a visit.

"I went there when I was in ninth grade," said Wright. "It felt really good being there."

Wright continued by saying that the way the offense is set up is ideal for him.

"I also like the way they play offensively," said Wright. "I like the different ways they use their tight end."

He continued by saying that he loves the addition of new head coach Scottie Montgomery.

"I feel great about the decision to bring coach Montgomery in," said Wright. "I think he is a good person that has a lot of knowledge about football and a lot of wisdom to instill in his players."

Special teams/tight ends coach Shannon Moore has been the person handling Wright's recruitment.

"He was telling me that they have good thoughts about me and I'm really high on their recruiting board," said Wright.

Last season, Wright had 21 catches for 276 yards with seven touchdowns.
