Tim Irvin announces that he will transfer from Auburn to East Carolina.

Yesterday, safety Tim Irvin announced that he will be transferring from Auburn to East Carolina.

East Carolina has landed a big time transfer from the SEC.

Yesterday, Tim Irvin announced that he will be enrolling at East Carolina this fall after transferring from Auburn.

Due to NCAA transfer rules, he will have to sit out this upcoming season. However, after sitting this season out he will have three years of eligibility left.

Last season, Irvin played safety as a true freshman for the Auburn Tigers. He played in 10 games in which he recorded 18 tackles and two pass deflections.

Coming out of high school, he was a four-star recruit out of the state of Florida. He also played in the 2015 U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

Tim Irvin comes from a strong football family. He is the nephew of Sedrick Irvin, who is an offensive analyst at East Carolina. He is also the nephew of legendary NFL wide receiver Michael Irvin.
