Pirates conduct their first two-a-day practice

GREENVILLE, N.C. -- After practice, ECU head coach Scottie Montgomery took a moment to speak with the media about the first two-a-day practice of the year.

On Wednesday, the East Carolina Pirates completed their first two-a-day practice.

Everything went well. The players were fast and precise throughout the day. Just by watching the offense work together. you can see they are starting to gel and get in routine for the season.

Although there was a few injury scares at practice including players Demetri McGill and Davon Grayson, the Pirates seemed to dodge a bullet.

Over all, coach Montgomery stated that in order for these practices to go well and for ECU to have a good season, the team needs to remain focused and cut back on the mental mistakes. This practice was a sole reminder that camp is camp for a reason, and the team will continue to stay on track.
