The 6-foot, 200-pound Harris says that it was the trifecta of academics, big time football, and the coaches that went into his decision to commit to the Pirates.
"I chose ECU because they have a great fan base," said Harris. "They have a great academic system. It feels great to be committed. It's a big stress release for my family and I."
Harris emphasized the role the coaches played in his commitment.
"The coaches weren't just talking about football," said Harris. "They were talking about how to make me a better person. Me and coach Mo have a great relationship. He is a straight-up guy."
Harris continued to harbor on the fact that ECU has a great atmosphere on Saturdays.
"I love the environment and the fans," said Harris.
When Harris arrives on campus, he is looking to bring a couple things to the program.
"Physicality, playmaking skills and excitement," said Harris.
