Inside ECU Sports takes a look at tomorrow's opponent Cicinnati

Inside ECU Sports caught up with Cincinnati Bearcats analyst Jessie Smith to discuss tomorrow's AAC battle.

East Carolina takes on Cincinnati tomorrow and Bearcat Insider analyst Jessie Smith gave Inside ECU Sports to inside scoop on Cincinnati.

  • Defense

Honestly the secondary has been making a lot of plays this season, Cincinnati has a solid rotation on the defensive line which helps them stay stout most of the time. Overall, they are just more aggressive.

  • Notable Play

Honestly this year it is the defense, but the players on offense that have been bright spots are the  receivers Nate Cole and Devin Gray. Cole and Gray have been making plays all year.

  • What defines Cincinnati?

Right now it is the team the lost to Houston, is a perfect description of the season, you can see the talent, but they just currently can’t get over the hump. They need a win Saturday so they can finish this last half of the season strong.

  • Cincinnati's AAC Troubles

Turnovers and leaving points on the board in all three games they lost they had to settle for field goals besides touchdowns or they get on the opponents side of the field and don’t score at all. Not taking advantage has caught up to this team.

  •  Who wins pivotal AAC Match-up?

I have to go with the Bearcats for the sole purpose that it is homecoming weekend. They can’t afford to go 0-4 in the AAC and pushing their home record to 2-3.
