ECU looks to get their first road win of the season Saturday when they travel to Tulsa

After ending a five-game skid last weekend against UConn, ECU looks to carry that momentum into this weekend's contest against Tulsa.

The search for East Carolina's first road win continues. However, it could end this weekend when the Pirates travel to Oklahoma.

ECU will have to battle against Tulsa, who has one of the best offensive fronts in the AAC and a potent running attack.

Coach Montgomery commented that Tulsa does a great job of getting off iinitial blocks, then exploding to the secondary.

It is no secret that ECU struggles defensively. They will have a tall task in front of them Saturday.

They are going to have stay tight on the outside and shut down the run game, and make sure Tulsa's rushing attack does not open up for big pass plays.

Turning to an offensive perspective for ECU, it is important that their running game gets started. Anthony Scott has been sidelined from a recent surgery, this the Pirates will rely heavily on James Summers and Shawn Furlow.

If it is any boost of confidence, ECU has won the last seven meetings with Tulsa, including three on the road.
