Greenville N.C. -- In a very brief meeting after practice, Scottie Montgomery had some words for members of the media

ECU returns home this weekend to face off against the SMU Mustangs. Coach Montgomery and company are hoping to find their way back in the win column after dropping a crushing defeat to Tulsa.

In his very short interview, Coach Mo focused on the quarterback position, mostly regarding senior quarterback Philip Nelson.

"Philip Nelson practiced the whole practice," said Montgomery. "He tends to play a lot better when he practices better. We want to make sure he got some work and he was able to get it all."

Coach also mentioned that before practice the team held a meeting that was about 20 minutes in length. However, Montgomery assured us that they hit the practice field hard.

"We spent more time in the meeting room today," said Montgomery. "We got out here a little bit late, but great work today."
