James Summers addresses members of the media following loss to SMU

Greenville N.C. -- James Summers spoke with media following Saturday's loss to SMU. InsideECUSports was there to see what he had to say.

Flex quarterback/running back James Summers, who had a fumble in Saturday's loss, spoke with the media about his fumble, and the mentality the team has moving forward.

"I believe in us, period," said Summers. "No doubt about it, I don't care what happens."

He also talked about setting a tone for rest of the season.

"These guys have to have something to fight for," said Summers. "We set the tone for the younger guys, so they can start off the season motivated."

Summers mentioned that his fumble was the result of extra effort to get extra yards.

"I was trying to get down to the ground," said Summers. "I don't know how to stop my feet. My feet kept moving and he got it right out before I hit the ground."
