East Carolina faces off against the Golden Knights at home tomorrow afternoon

Coming off a fresh win against the Temple Owls, ECU looks to win two in a row as they play the UCF Golden Knights tomorrow at 4 p.m. in Minges.

The East Carolina Pirates, 12-14, face a 16-10 UCF Golden Knights team that will challenge them. However, coming off a strong win against Temple, ECU looks to play confidently in front of the home crowd to pull out a victory.

The Golden knights are coming off a 71-53 win against Tulsa, a team the Pirates have yet to face.

One of the keys for ECU will be the ability of Kentrell Barkley and others in the back court to contain UCF's leading scoring and guard Matt Williams who is averaging 15.5 points per game.

As the AAC currently stands right now, UCF is number six and ECU is sitting at the nine spot in the standings. However, the AAC is overall weak, so there is not much different between teams six through 10.

At any rate, If ECU can hit their threes, rebound, and if Barkley and freshman guard Elijah Hughes can continue shooting well, the Pirates could see themselves winning consecutive since December.

Tip off is set for 4 p.m. and the game will air on ESPN networks.
