ECU survives the Green Wave on the road

East Carolina secured their first victory on the road against the Tulane. Much like the first meeting this year which the Pirates won, the Green Wave went on a run to get the close within the last minute. But ECU held off the rally by Tulane and won the game behind Kentrell Barkley and Caleb White. The Pirates are now 13-15 on the season and 5-10 in the AAC conference.

Notable Statistics

  • ECU had four starters score in double-digits
  • Barkley and White both had 17 points
  • Andre Washington nearly had a triple-double with 11 points, eight rebounds, and seven blocks
  • Freshman Jeremy Shepard played the most minutes and finished with 16 points and five assists
  • The Pirates shot 48 percent from the field and 46 percent from outside the arc
  • ECU out-rebounded the Green Wave 39-33
  • ECU has not been out-rebounded in the last five games

Now the team gets ready to face Tulsa as the season comes to an end.
