Michel Nzege, Caleb White, and Kentrell Barkley speak on the 66-62 win over UConn

Greenville, N.C.-- Wednesday night the Seniors on ECU's Basketball team played their final game at Minges Coliseum. The Pirates took on UConn on Senior Night, and recieved a special visit from head coach Jeff Lebo prior to the game. East Carolina defeated the UConn Huskies 66-62, in a nail-biter that came down to the last 30 seconds. Post game seniors like Caleb White and Michel Nzege could not express the emotions they felt at that moment knowing the went out the right way.

This was East Carolina's first win over UConn since ECU was moved to the American Athletic Conference. The Pirates ended the two-game losing streak on Senior night, the last win before the game against the Huskies was against Charlotte back in 2014. ECU has now won four of their last seven games, getting ready to end the season at Houston. The team sends off Seniors Caleb White, Michel Nzege, and Andre Washington off with a win.

Caleb White noted that the team is going to be left in good hands after the departure of the seniors. The Pirates travel to Houston Sunday to take on the Cougars, who got the better hand at ECU in their last game.
