ECU Hires New Offensive Coordinator

Washington Redskins quarterback coach Noah Brindise has been hired as the offensive coordinator at East Carolina.

Brindise, who played quarterback at Florida, was a graduate assistant for three years before joining Steve Spurrier in Washington.

"I know that [Florida] offense was the toughest we had to prepare for," new East Carolina coach John Thompson said. "I went against it three times and that was the toughest. That offense has a little bit of everything. "Noah brings a knowledge of that offense, a knowledge of that play-calling, and I'm excited about that."

Brindise's decision marks the second time he has accepted the ECU job. In January of 2003, then Washington Redskins quarterback coach Brindise accepted, then changed his mind about the position after the Redskins counter offered.
