Name: Linval Joseph
Hometown: Alachua, Florida
High School: Santa Fe High School
Position: Lineman

Notes: Considered one of the top linemen in Florida, Joseph was a two-time all-state selection for Santa Fe High School. He originally committed to Florida but signed with East Carolina on Signing Day.

A three-star prospect according to, Joseph was tabbed the No. 76 player in Florida by SuperPrep Magazine. He has been timed at 5.0 in the 40-yard dash, and he recorded lifts of 415 (bench press) and 560 (squat).

Joseph will enter East Carolina as a defensive lineman, but he may project better on the offensive side of the ball. He is a former teammate of ECU Pirate Melvin Patterson.

Scouting Report: "Linval Joseph is a very athletic big man that may be a tad smaller than his listed 6-6/290, but he still moves extremelly well off the ball getting into his blocks quickly and setting into a good, balanced position both in pass protection and run blocking. The [Pirates] certainly got a good one in Joseph." Recruiting Analyst Miller Safrit
