Fairfield recruit, Zamal Nixon, led the Kangaroos of Boys and Girls high school to a 62-58 victory over Frederick Douglass Academy (FDA) on Sunday (3/11). Boys and Girls jumped out to a 29-20 halftime lead, but FDA rallied to tie the score at 57.
Zamal Nixon was impressive for Boy's and Girls with 27 points. He made 3 three-pointers to go along with 8 of 9 from the free throw line, 3 assists and 5 rebounds.
Boys & Girls will now face Wings Academy in the Semi-finals on Tuesday (3/13).
Zamal has visited Fairfield and Wichita State, and is getting interest from Hofstra, Providence and St. Bonaventure. Nixon indicated that he will not make a decision until his high school playoffs are done.
