The month of July is the time when there are a lot of summer tournaments, and special attention is placed on the upcoming seniors for the class of 2008. Here is a list of players who have listed Fairfield over the past few weeks from various websites, and have not been mentioned on this site before.

Sam Leclerc
Leclerc is a 6-0, PG from Winthrop HS in Maine, rated the #2 player in Maine, and the 46th in New England by NERR, shined at last year's New England Elite 75 Showcase earning himself a place on the camp's All-Star team, ability to see the floor, make his teammates better, and has excellent decision making with the ball..... BU, UMBC, Fairfield, Florida Atlantic, and Lehigh are among the schools who have recently expressed interest, while Maine, New Hampshire, Columbia, Cornell, Harvard, and George Mason had already been involved.

Shane Gibson
Gibson is a 6-2, shooting guard from Killngly HS in Connecticut, rated the #13 player in CT, and the 23th in New England by NERR, averaged 26ppg as a junior at Killingly last season, has shown more improvement since last year's state tournament than any other state player, a shooter who can knock down shots..... plays AAU ball for CT Phenom Elite, the same team that future Stag Jamal Turner plays on, Norwich Bulletin says Gibson has received scholarship offers from Sacred Heart and Central Connecticut, Fairfield is also a possibility as they called Gibson in mid July..... in April 2007 Gibson listed Sacred Heart and Siena as schools that have extended scholarship offers.

Devoe Joseph
Joseph is a 6-3, combo guard from Pickering high school in Ontario Canada, he was the 6th leading scorer and 10th overall rebounder at the 2006 FIBA America tournament, he is one of the top shooters in the entire country and has an understanding of the game beyond his years. He has a great mid-range game to compliment his deadly accurate three point shot and has no problems taking it to the rim and finishing strong..... he's getting serious interest from the likes of Minnesota and Notre Dame. He currently has offers from Duquesne, Washington St, Santa Clara, Fairfield and other mid-majors. But others are apparently in the mix for Joseph, including Michigan, as well as St. Johns, Connecticut, Va. Tech and Texas A&M.

Curtis Trotter
Trotter is a 6-6, 240lb power forward from Father Henry Carr high school in Toronto Canada, he is an intimidating presence on the court and plays like a man among boys in high school ball, He is physical down low and uses his body well to gain position and finish around the net..... also has a nice jumper for someone of his size and strength, he won the MVP award at the FHC Early Bird Classic and St. Michaels Collegiate Tournament, he was also an all-star at the prestigious Beach Ball Classic in South Carolina, he is getting looks from schools like Fairfield, Duquesne, Coastal Carolina and St. Francis.

Miguel Bocachica
Bocachica is a 6-5 small forward from George Washington high school in Pennsylvannia, he averaged 11ppg as a Junior, and is described as a good shooting forward, he has good size and a high release point, making his jumper difficult to defend. He's not quick, but if overplayed, can beat his man off the dribble, good passer that needs to improve his handle and on the defensive end, If Miguel is hot he can put on a shooting clinic.... interested schools are Fairfield, Nebraska, IPFW, Rhode Island, Albany, La Salle, Siena, St. Joe's and Temple, according to CAA insider, Fairfield and Nebraska have offerred.

Rod Hurst
Hurst is a 6-3 shooting guard from West Bloomfield, Michigan, he averaged 18ppg as a junior in high school.... schools in the running are Central Michigan, Detroit, Eastern Michigan, Fairfield, Kent State, Robert Morris, St. Bonaventure, and Youngstown St..... According to Rivals, Youngstown St. has offerred.
