R.J. Evans has 6 to 7 offers

The Norwich Bulletin has reported that R. J. Evans of Norwich Free Academy in CT has 6 to 7 schools that have made scholarship offers to him for Basketball. He is currently a Quarterback on NFA's football team, but is taking the time to evaluate his basketball future.

R. J. Evans is a 6-2 shooting guard from Norwich Free Academy in CT, and is being actively recruited by St. Bonaventure, Holy Cross, Harvard, Yale, Fairfield, Quinnipiac and others. According to the Norwich Bulletin, Evans went on an official visit to Holy Cross during the first week of September.

Scout also lists Penn State, Columbia, Penn, and Yale as showing interest. Evans says, "I'm just feeling things out and I don't know when I'm going to make my decision.".

According to the New England Recruiting Report (NERR), Evans is listed as the 15th best shoooter in NE, the 28th overall player in NE, and the 13th ranked player in CT.

As a junior, Evans averaged 23ppg and 6rpg at NFA and is described by CAA Insider as a strong shooting guard, decent athlete, exceptional shooter from behind the arc with beautiful form. He has a mid range game and is strong enough to finish around the hoop. Ball handling is his improvement area.

Big Schools are taking a look at Evans and here is how a Boston College recruiting blog (The House that Skinner Built ) describes Evans: "Evans is a scorer supreme, not necessarily a great shooter, but he has shown a knack for putting the ball in the basket...the question with Evans is can he do enough other things to play at the highest level, and right now, the jury is still out."
